First I will describe the film itself, then I will share my impressions.

Meanwhile, Frank, an experienced machinist (Denzel Washington) and Will, a novice compared to him (Chris Pine), are traveling towards this train, but do not suspect it. This becomes clear only when they are asked to enter the passing lane and unhook the load. But the train is completely out of control, so Frank decides to catch up with the train in reverse and brake it. It’s little more than a hook.
Next I will describe the development of events with spoilers, but they relate only to the action part. I won’t spoil the plot. But if you don’t want to know anything before watching, don’t read.
Then the real action unfolds. Frank connects his locomotive to the train (Will suffers a leg injury during this) and tries to brake it, but fails. Frank leaves Will in the locomotive while he jumps on the cars, turning the handbrake on each of them. They drive up to a place where they might fall. Somehow they slow down the train and pass this section of the track. Soon they stop.
Now the impressions themselves. The film was shot very well. To be honest, I was worried the whole time, which is rare for me. The work of the cameramen and editors is what makes the film stand out. Excellent stylization of half documentary, half amateur video. Music… I can’t say anything about it, I didn’t listen closely. The film constantly keeps you in suspense and therefore you simply don’t notice the music. The plot is not the strongest part of the film, that’s for sure. But in such an action movie you don’t need anything other than action.
The whole movie is pure action. High speeds, intense situations… If you like it, be sure to watch it.
